Mark is Ecodesign 2018 ready!
Mark optimizes products for Ecodesign 2018
You may have already heard that, as of January 1st 2018, the EU regulations for climate equipment have changed. The Ecodesign Directive aims to achieve a considerable saving on the energy consumptions as well as reducing CO2-emissions. Within this directive, the following requirements apply in 2018:
Gas-fired radiant heaters (as of 1-1-2018)
- Minimum seasonal efficiency*: 74%
- Maximum NOX-emission: 200 mg/kWh (based on calorific upper value)
* The seasonal efficiency of radiant heaters is calculated on the basis of radiant efficiency, thermal efficiency and electricity consumption.
- Minimum seasonal efficiency**: 72% (as of 1-1-2018)
- Maximum NOX-emission: 100 mg/kWh (as of 9-2018)
- In 2021, the requirements for air heaters will be further tightened.
** The seasonal efficiency of air heaters is calculated on the basis of temperature rise of the air flow, thermal efficiency and electricity consumption.
Products that do not meet the above-mentioned requirements may no longer be sold within the EU. This applies to both new installations as well as replacing existing installations.
Since the announcement of the Ecodesign 2018, Mark has been working behind the scenes on optimizing its products. Mark radiant heaters now fully comply with the Ecodesign of 2018. In the range of air heaters some changes will be made. We will have to say goodbye to our well-known GSD air heater. But not to worry, its successor is already available!
NEW: Mark GSX
Economical heating with the Mark GSX gas-fired air heater
We would like to introduce you to the Mark GSX. With the Mark GSX, heat is generated via a premix-burner and blown out with an axial fan. The robust air heater is particularly suitable for industrial use and is very economical due to its low gas consumption, low maintenance and long lifespan. In addition, the unit is non-condensing, so no condensation pipe is required.
The Mark GSX series fully complies to the new Ecodesign 2018 and has a capacity range of 16,7 kW up to 83,9 kW. The GSX will also, like the GS+, be available with a new control.
New control for GS+
From now on, the GS+ high efficiency gas-fired air heaters will be equipped with a new control system. With the OptiTherm+ it is possible to control up to 8 separate GS+ units based on room temperature. In addition, it is possible to use the Interface+ module to control a GS+ unit by means of a 0-10 VDC signal or via Modbus with a link to the BMS (building management system).
New control for Mark Infra, Tanner and Ecofan
A new control system for the Mark Infra, Tanner MDA and Ecofan W will soon be available as well. The Pintherm Connect and Pintherm Infra Connect will be available from March 1st.
The Pintherm Connect is a digital week clock room thermostat. The controller is equipped with an on/off contact and a 0-10VDC output. Both signals are reversible, so the control is suitable for heating and cooling. The settings of the thermostat can be read and/or modified with Modbus or Ethernet. The thermostat can be connected to the BMS (building management system).
The Pintherm Infra Connect is a digital room thermostat to switch an Infra on/off or control high/low or modulating based on room temperature. The settings of the thermostat can be read and/or modified with Modbus or Ethernet. The thermostat can be connected to the BMS (building management system).
