School ventilation for Winkler Prins Veendam

On behalf of Niemeijer Installatietechniek, Mark Climate Technology supplied air handling units for the new construction and renovation of Winkler Prins School Community in Veendam.

New construction

The new construction for the school complex, realised in 2021, consists of two new school buildings. A total of four Mark AIRSTREAM HWX air handling units with heat recovery were selected for the ventilation, heating and cooling of the buildings. The heat recovery units have air volumes of 9,500 m3/h and 12,000 m3/h. For optimum heat and moist recovery, the appliances are equipped with a rotary heat exchanger. Thanks to built-in silencers, the units guarantee extra quiet operation.

Renovation

In addition to the new construction, the existing school buildings will be completely renovated. No fewer than 7 AIRSTREAM heat recovery units provide the school with fresh air. Heat recovery by means of a rotary heat exchanger has been chosen for the renovation.

The renovation of the school complex will be completed before the new school year of 2022-2023.
