Also known as LPHW (Low Pressure Hot Water) or LTHW (Low Temperature Hot Water) heating, these systems use warm water from a central heat source — such as a boiler or heat pump — to generate warm air.
Warm water circulates through a heat exchanger inside the unit heater. A fan blows air over the exchanger, distributing warm air into the space.

Heat pump air heating delivers efficient heating and cooling in one system. It extracts heat from outdoor air in winter and reverses the process in summer for cooling.
A heat pump transfers heat from outside air to indoor air via a heat exchanger. In cooling mode, it removes heat from indoors. Typical efficiency: COP (Coefficient of Performance) between 3 and 5 — meaning three to five units of heat per unit of electricity used.
